Where did we go?

The first part of this trip was the Marietta Madness-Drive for Brian with Indy Miata members. Drove to Marietta on Friday (Triple Nickel!), the great roads north of Marietta on Saturday, then on Sunday, the CLR portion began.

We had originally planned to go to Western North Carolina, but due to the terrible flooding, they didn't need some Miata knuckleheads running around. So we based ourselves in Marion, VA and ran roads north of there.

The CLR group consisted of Tim Miller, Tom Lewis, Aaron Workman, Sara J mcBride, Brian Bartlett and his dad, Bill. We headed south into West Virginia, jumping onto WV16, down to the New River Gorge where we drove under the bridge... We spent the night in Marion, VA.

Monday was a long day! Over eleven hours, lots of fun roads and curves. We passed through Welch, WV where we had earned the title of "Brave Cats" on a previous trip! Drove the Back of the Dragon in the dark!

Since Monday was a super long day, so Ryan pared down the Tuesday route, but, of course, it was still fun. It was a big loop, heading north and circling in a clockwise direction, ending with driving the Back of the Dragon. Again We passed through Welchand waved at the Count Guli hotel.

Wednesday was the day to head home. Curvy roads for the north and southbound travelers before hitting the boring interstate!

Once again, another great CLR in the books.
